It’s been a long time since I last posted. I’ve been off
having another dose of spiritual growth. I read somewhere once, that in the
quest of conquering oneself we will struggle and climb up that mountain and
when we finally reach the summit we realise that within us there is another
mountain to climb. I guess it becomes a case of realising just how much we don’t
know, which becomes the first real step away from ignorance.
During the last few months I became rather confused about
who am I really and what is my purpose in life. I felt as if I had lost my
passion for life, but more than that I felt scared that I didn’t really know
what my passion in life is. I needed a new direction and a new ambition. I
spent so much time trying to figure out where I belonged and what am I supposed
to be doing with my life.
So I sat down every night and I focused my mind on
meditation. I didn’t know what I hoped to achieve in my meditations but I did
know that I needed some solitude and space from my life and my mind. One night
recently, I felt myself begin to have a conversation with a force far greater
than me. Was it God or an angel, I don’t know. But it was a voice of peace and
love and it said to me “Listen to your breathing”, so I did, and then it said “Without
you even knowing it, your body is drawing in air so that it can continue
living. You have such a great passion for being alive that you are always doing
whatever you need to do so that you can stay alive.”
I never looked at breathing in that way before. I never
looked at the beauty of life in that way before. The mastery in our design is
that our initial response to life to be so passionate about it that we will do
whatever it takes to keep living. In that moment I accepted one truth, which is
that I am passionate about being alive.
Then I become bombarded with a great pull of gratitude
towards every breath of air that I take and every sip of water and every morsel
of food. Being alive, to me, became the miracle of having passion in my life. This
made me think even more about having a passion for something.
We always see around us that people that do what they are
passionate about become fairly successful. They sometimes build empires about
ideas or they change the way the world functions and thinks just by
materializing their passion in life. Sometimes it’s just people that are fully
content with their lives as it is. It doesn’t matter where they come from or
where they go from here, all that matters is being true to who they are.
So being true to who you are is living out your passion in
life which will then translate into miracles.
Figuring out what out passion is, helps us to figure out
what our purpose in life is. Once we do that, then all the battles in life
fades away and we are left with a life of quality and joy, which translates
into a life based in love.
I noticed that people that live their life based on what
they feel is their purpose and what they feel passionate about are always in a
state of joy and abundance. It’s almost as if it’s some secret cheat code in
the universe. If we focus all our effort and energy on doing what makes us feel
most “at home” then there is no space for worry because the universe will
provide for us. You will have all that you need and so much more.
The mission is to figure out what is our passion and what is
our purpose. Where is it that we have to be to feel home. I have been
contemplating my own purpose and passion (other than my passion for being
alive) for the last month. Some people just know what drives them in life and
other people (like me) need to figure it out. My most important goal at this
point is to figure out what is my purpose in life so that I can pour all my
passion into it.
Along the way, so far, I made a very important discovery.
Just being is enough to help me following the guidance of
life. Which means, when I stop worrying about where my career is heading, and
whether or not I’m ready for a new relationship, or if I have made the wrong
decisions, and just be here in this moment, I become guided to take the next
step. Before my foot reaches the ground, I have no idea where it will take me
but I trust that it is always going to be in the right direction for me. I allow
myself to go with the flow because I know that I am being guided by a source
and a force greater than myself.
For now my passion for being alive is enough for me.
I know, beyond a
reasonable doubt, that I will figure out what my true purpose in life is, how
about you?
Expect miracles.
Peace and love to all of you. J
